Cleaning your bins is dirty work! Cleaning with a hose uses 8X more water than our system. In addition, cold water is not effective at getting rid of odours and bacteria and the dirty water is not eco-friendly.
No. You do not need to be at home to have your bin cleaned. We clean your bin on the day after your collection day. As long as your cans are on the curb, we’ll clean them on your scheduled date.

Following your service we will seal the lid with a sticker so you know we’ve come. Not only that, we will wheel your bin back onto your driveway.
The city collection routes and times vary therefore making it difficult to execute a timely cleaning schedule. To make sure we can service an empty bin we’ll come the day after your collection.
We not only clean your cans, but we disinfect, sanitize and deodorize them as well. We use hot water, which rids 99% of bacteria, germs, and viruses. Additionally, we spray down the outside of the can including the parts most often touched such as the lid and handle.Â
We follow the exact same schedule as your waste and recycling pickup. If the HRM is not emptying bins on a particular day, we will do the cleaning the day after of HRM’s substitute pick up date.
Our custom mobile cleaning system positions the green bin in a manner to collect the waste water created during the cleaning process. The water is then recycled through a multi-stafge filtration process that cleans the water so that it may be reused.
